Alternatively if you are an athlete and have a specific goal, our programs can be designed to enhance your performance and help you achieve your sporting ambitions.
Reduce tension in overactive muscles, and feel loose!

Our acupuncture and needling techniques are rather different to traditional Chinese acupuncture.
Our techniques are aimed at reducing tension in overactive muscles by inserting the needles in the muscle belly, leaving you feeling loose and free.
Support unstable joints and improve muscle coordination

We regularly use sports massage as part of our treatments in conjunction with education and exercise.
Some of our massage techniques include trigger point therapy, and active release techniques (ART).
For taping we use a combination of rigid sports strapping to provide support to unstable joints or kinesiotaping (K-tape) techniques for muscle coordination.
Put a stop to recurrent headaches, neck and mid back pain, and shoulder tension.

Do you have recurrent headaches, neck and mid back pain, and shoulder muscle tension?
Prolonged, static postures and sitting in front of computers is the most common cause for these issues.
We use manual therapy to relieve muscle tension in the neck and shoulders and mobilise joints to reduce the stiffness that builds up in the spine from prolonged inactivity.
You will then be prescribed a specific mobility program that you can do during work to break up your static postures.
Regain your function.

In the unfortunate situation you were involved in a motor vehicle accident or sustained an injury at work, getting you back to feeling 100% is our number one priority.
We correspond with your insurer to get your treatment and necessary rehab equipment approved.
With our return to work or return to function recovery plan, we will ensure a smooth transition back to work or preinjury activity.
We understand how frustrating pain can be so that's why we dedicate a part of your session to do some hands-on manual therapy so you can leave feeling amazing!
We use techniques such as sports massage, acupuncture, cupping and/or joint mobilisations depending on what's appropriate for you.
Even though we may see the same injury, we understand that everyone's pain experience is unique to them. That is why we take the time to get to know you and listen to your story. This allows us to tailor your treatment to your body, your goals and your life.
We know that your time in our session is only a small fraction of your week so that's why we believe in self empowerment and self management.
Following your sessions you will receive a rehab plan that will empower you to manage your condition and ultimately prevent future injuries.
Visit us today and take the first step towards a pain-free, active life. Your body deserves nothing less than the best, and that's exactly what we offer at ESPR Physiotherapy & Training
How is ESPR different to other therapies?
At ESPR we look at you as the individual and not just the injury. This allows us to cater our treatment to your needs and goals - whether it be simple symptomatic relief or to return to sport. We do everything with our end goal in mind. That is to educate and empower you to take control of your condition so that you will be able manage it with confidence and independence.
Do I need a referral?
No, you do not need a referral to see us. We accept private billings and on-the-spot private health insurance rebates through our HICAPS terminal.
What do I wear to my session?
Just wear comfortable clothes that you can move around in. Shorts and singlets would be ideal.
Do I need to bring anything?
Bring any scans, reports, or referrals that you may have and of course, bring your beautiful self!
How long do sessions last?
Sessions typically last between 30-45 minutes. If more time is needed, it can be arranged.
Will I get treated in my initial session?
You will definitely get treated. Treatments will involve a combination of manual therapy techniques including sports massage, taping, acupuncture and/or joint mobilisations, depending on what is appropriate. You will also be prescribed a tailored rehab exercise program to work on any deficiencies or impairments that we find in the physical assessment.
